Admit it. How many times have you thought about starting your own business but chickened out? Put your hands down, people. Tap on your shoulder and say, “I forgive you.” But don’t beat yourself up about it, we’ve all been there. And if you keep that up, you will never be there. (Pointing up.) It takes real character to be an entrepreneur and more often than not, you will never be rich if you don’t overcome these five things that are holding you back from being the next Donald Trump:
Stop Being a Worry Wart
Some people create an idea and stop there. They just think and worry about an idea and never actually get the guts to really go for it! If you think you have a good idea then trust your guts and create a sample for it so that people can give inputs for you to work on after. Always take this first step to give you a push on your new venture.
No Money? No Worries
Don’t let the capital stop you from starting your own business. Although, yes, we understand how big of a factor it is, but don’t let it worry you so much. If you really want it, the world will give it to you. Pull out resources from your savings or ask help from family and friends. Make a strong pitch and seek out investors who are willing to trust you with their money. There is just so much you can do to get the capital and you won’t get it if you keep wasting your time worrying about it.
Setting That Goal
If your number one goal is to make money, hit the brakes and quit. Although maybe you will is you started your business, but it won’t make enough or it won’t last that long. Find a product that you love and you know your customers will love as well. A customer sees the owner’s passion to their product, and if you love it well enough, your customers will trust on your guts and love it too. The positivity will create enough energy and excitement (and not too mention, money!) that will keep your business going.
Do not be scared to fail. You will not always get what you want sometimes but don’t let that scare you from getting back up again. Remember that in business it only goes to ways: you either win or you learn from it. No one ever loses.
The first step is always the hard part. You know how they say that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step? Remember that. You will never have that business venture if you don’t take that leap of faith and say, “Let’s do this.”
