Paris, coined as the city of love, lights, and fashion is among the top tourist destinations in the world – what with its amazing architecture, rich culture, and breathtaking spots. 1. Louvre

The Louvre is one of the biggest, tallest, and most-visited art museums in the world. It’s also one of the richest when it comes to historical and cultural exhibit. Their collection of various 20th century art works such as paintings and sculpture is something that must not be missed if you’re an art enthusiast. The Louvre also houses the infamous Mona Lisa, which also happens to be the subject of the blockbuster movie, “Da Vinci Code”.

2. Notre Dame Cathedral

Located on the eastern side of Paris, it is a historic Roman Catholic Marian Cathedral and among the most prominent religious sites not just in the country, but also in all of Europe. The French Gothic architecture will amaze anyone who sees it from bellow but wait till you get to the top! Have a Quasimodo perspective and enjoy the breathtaking view of the city.

3. Eiffel Tower

Do not ever leave Paris without visiting and taking your picture with the Eiffel tower as the backdrop. It’s by far one of the most photographed spots in the city. Located at Champ de Mars, it was named after the engineer who designed the structure – Gustave Eiffel. But did you know that it was almost torn down because initially, the Parisians did not receive it well? Good thing it didn’t happen and eventually, it became the one landmark that the world got to know in Paris.

4. Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysées

This is one of the most popular monuments in the city and located at the Place Charles de Gaulle. Designed in 1806 by Jean Chalgrin, it has set the tone for iconic monuments that show patriotic messages. Visit the Arc de Triomphe then stroll down towards the beautiful Avenue des Champs-Elysées.
