Even with all the weight from the batteries that is needed to power the electric motors, the SLS is still able to remain sporty thanks to the carbon fiber composite material that it utilizes.

Using a micro-turbine-engine working in tandem with the electric motors, this car is expected to be able to reach 60 mph under 3 seconds.

The i8 has an electric motor that powers the front wheels working together with a three-cylinder gas engine powering the rear wheels. It is expected to have a mileage of 70 mpg, making it the top 1 in our list of top 10 sports cars.
