So what is with this phone and why are people looking forward to the Sony Xperia Z6 release date? Even only with few design changes, Sony maintains its simple yet elegant aesthetic feature. It has its OmniBalance, described by Sony as: “Omni means ‘all’ or ‘everywhere’ – it represents the omnipresence and the multitude of smartphone uses. This principle of OmniBalance is embodied in the design execution – a minimalistic form where only the essentials remain, with balance and symmetry throughout. It is essentially a plate of glass that has the edges and corners softened and strengthened in an encasing frame.”

Either a 21.7-megapixel or a 23-megapixel sensor for smartphone photography may be used as well in Z6. But what is new really with Sony Xperia Z6 is its Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor. It uses the quad-core CPU called Kryo which is twice faster than Krait, the processor used in Snapdragons 801 and 805. Another new feature is the latest operating system of Google, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There’s not much design changes in this OS but in terms of memory managing, fingerprint scanning support, and app permissions, it has significantly improved. With Marshmallow, a USB-C port is not impossible for Z6 which allows faster data transfer. A 3D touch panel allowing for a more pressure-sensitive display can be expected as well.

According to a social media site, Weibo, Z6 will come in 5 variants in the following formats: Sony Xperia Z6 itself, Mini, Compact, Plus, and Ultra, all of which have different sizes. This makes the Sony Xperia Z6 release date something to look forward to for many Sony avid fans out there.
