If you don’t have the time and money to do intensive skin care, then it’s important for you to go back to the basics. These simple yet essential skin care tips are very easy to do and does not necessarily require you to drain your wallet.
Protect your skin from the sun.
You may have read this skin care tip a thousand times already but there’s a reason for that – frequent sun exposure not only causes physical damage such as wrinkles and age spots to your skin, it may also cause skin cancer. Put on some sunscreen or use an umbrella when walking under the sun.
Have a healthy diet
It’s not only your internal organs that benefit from eating healthy foods, your skin is also a beneficiary. Eat lots of fruits, veggies and whole grains since studies have shown that Vitamins C promotes a younger looking skin. On the other hand, stay away from sinful foods that are rich in refined carbohydrates and unhealthy fats.
Smoking narrows and sometimes, blocks the tiny blood vessels found on the outermost layer of the skin resulting in a decreased blood flow. As a result, it makes your skin look older and wrinkly. So if you are a smoker, the best thing to do is just quit! Seek help from doctors, family and good friends to aid you during the transition.
Don’t be stressed.
Stress does nothing good and just makes your skin more sensitive. Too much stress can also trigger acne breakouts. So if I were you, I wouldn’t stress too much on things. Develop a healthy state of mind by taking some time to do the things you love. Enjoy it with family and friends for a much more memorable experience.
Do not overdo it.
Anything that is done or taken too much is not good for you. Same goes for all those skin care regime and products. Do not overdo skin cleansing, scrubbing, or toning. It will just make your skin more sensitive and trigger breakouts. Also, avoid using products that are too strong and contain harmful ingredients.
