Off Peak Train Hours

It would be hard to specify which hours of the day are considered as off peak train times, given that it still is under the company’s jurisdiction. Their timetables may be available on their websites and stations. If you are a regular train traveler, it would probably be best to keep yourself abreast with schedules if they have an online subscription so that you will be updated with their travel schedules and routes.

The peak hours, on the other hand, fall between 9 and 10 AM, as well as 5 and 7 PM. These are practically the rush hours, as people either run off to work or head home. Trains are abuzz with passengers at these hours. Therefore, the hours that fall before, in between and after them are the usual off peak train times. It is during these hours that trains are less crowded and busy.

Super Off Peak

There are even companies that have offerings such as the Super Off Peak Day and Off Peak Day, wherein tickets are valid from the date that appears on the ticket up until 2 AM the next day.

To find the best off peak train times, as noted above, it is advisable to keep tabs with your preferred train’s regular schedule through their stations and online portals. Even if it’s just a matter of minutes that set peak and off peak train times apart, cumulatively speaking, it will allow you to save up most especially if you’re a regular train passenger.
